Where do I even start with this?
There were about 474 women from all over the country attending, 12 from Las Vegas and Henderson, to say we had a blast is an understatement! New friendships, training, giveaways and more! Celebrating a 10-year anniversary, I am so grateful for all Julianna and Robyn do to provide this experience and of course for all the other year around support and mentorship they provide.
We had about a week of lectures and hands on training from some of the top instructors here is some of the information for 2022 just to give you an idea A Girl & A Gun National Conference ⋆ Firearms Training for Women (agirlandagun.org)
This is an amazing event that we look forward to all year, then in a heartbeat it’s over and we have to go back to reality, which was really hard this time.
Typically, we start on Wednesday with lectures from top presenters, this year it was Adam Winch, John Correia, Tiffany Johnson, Tatiana Whitlock just to name a few.
Then Thursday it demo day, where we run around and try all the products that the vendors bring in, we had the latest and greatest from Glock (Willie Parent who stayed even as everyone was leaving on the last day to continue teaching a student, and sharing wisdom and their amazing team, CZ (Dave Miller who was very busy fitting everyone properly with shotguns, and dispersing wisdom), Walther ( Gaby Franco with her great energy) Stag Arms (many of us built a Stag Arms AR and that was a great experience), USCCA ( Beth Alcazar and the team) and many other vendors were there with products and giveaways.
Then Fri-Sun it was 3-hour blocks of instruction, you get to choose which classes you would like to take and every single class is fantastic.
This time I was excited to get Vehicle Tactics with Adam Winch, 3-gun rifle with Beth Walker, off body carry with Vicki Farnam, Tactical Games with Tes Salb, 5 par performance with Josh White, and Build a rifle with Stag Arms. Every class was better than the last, in between we all met up and talked about our classes and what cool things we got to do, had some lunch, and then met up after for dinner. Did I mention how many cool prizes and gun giveaways there were thanks to our generous sponsors?
It was go go go, and many of us were so tired the last day, but it was a happy tired with time well spent.
Already looking forward to 2022!!
